November 18th, 2008
Hello Girls, its me, Unkle George

Da Beyoutimous Mama Caffie habs ritten me, and said dat very soon yu will be mooving! Dats rite. Moooooving. As in KNOT libbing in Mama Caffies back yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad ennymore.

Do KNOT worry! I will habs ma eye on yu in yur noo digs

Yur going to da faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! Dis is a very eggsiting time in a houndies life! It is ware yu will make da chanje from puppy to lean racin masheen! Yu will habs a nice place to sleep, and da very best paaaaaaaaaaaaaat is dat yu will habs a very LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG run to practice yur racin in!

Ma leetle Georgia girl, I habs herd tale dat yu will chase ennything dat moves! Gud girl! Yu are showing reel promise to take after yur daddy, and of course yur Unkle George. I tell yu, I was robbed, just robbed! Why, I cudda been a contender–I cud a been a steaks racer–iffen I had someone in ma corner like Mama Caffie and Daddy Bill! Robbed!!! But I digest…

Soooo, back to ma lesson!

At da farm yu will meet some noo peeple, and lots of noo houndies who are KNOT yur sissies or yur Mama. But dis is a gud thing! It will be eggsiting.

To reassure yu AND ma belubbed Mama Caffie, I habs done sum re-conning sense, and checked out da operashun. Here is a pikshur Chikken Arms took of me in ma spy dog outfit wiff nite vision

It seems quite nice der at da faaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! I did loads of sniffin about, and I smelled plenty of yummy track chow, nice clean hay to sleep in, and I had ma fill of some nice fresh water. Not so bad, da faaaaaaaaaaaaaaam!

Mama Caffie says she will be visiting yu lots, and I bet Miss Jenn of da spicy red hair will to! And she will hopefully take lots and lots of pikkies so da gud folks of GreyTawk and yur some-day furevver Mom can see yu growing and lerning, and getting yur afterburners REEL big! I no, I no, a girl does KNOT reely want enny junk in da trunk, but trust me on dis ma sweet won: on a houndie, a Beeg Butt is a GUD thing! Thunder Thighs is KNOT an insult iffen yur a houndie. Slim fit? Dat is KNOT in are wardrobe! No! Da bigger da mussles da better! So I want yu out der grabbing yur share of da fuds, and makin da most of yur time in da training camp, cause yu want to make Mama Caffie and Daddy Bill reel prowd!

I hadda little care pakkage reddy to go fur yu, but Old Chikken Arms innersepted ma most thotful gift. Why, it was fur yu and all da other yungsters at camp! Oh, da merry times yu wood habs had, chasing DES down!

Ah, dat wood habs been sum gud fun…

Now, I need yu to remember, I am juss a fone call away. I keep ma Joe Fone wiff me all da time, and ma number is 92A-15005

Unkle George

  • Cracker is moving to Keystone Greyhound Adoption as soon as a hauler can be arranged.
  • Cracker is part of a very friendly “never met a stranger” litter of dogs.  He would be great at meet & greets, likes children, and loves attention.  He’s young, so has plenty of energy to play and have a good time.

Adopted!! “Ghost”

October 30th, 2008
  • Update 11/3/08 - Ghost is leaving tomorrow to move to a foster home.  If everything works out as planned, he will be permanently adopted by that family.   Good luck, Ghost!  Good things are ahead for you, buddy.
  • Ghost is a stunning blue boy who needs a very special home.  He has never raced.  In fact, he’s not even able to complete race training because he is scared of people and it’s too traumatic for him to be handled in a fast paced noisy setting.  He has gotten used to the people at our farm, but newcomers turn him into a shrinking violet.  We would prefer the following conditions for his future home: confident non-aggressive greyhound already in the home to help show him the ropes, fenced backyard, calm/relaxed home setting, and no children because they have a tendency to do things unexpectedly or too quickly.   If you have a huge heart, experience working with greyhounds who are easily frightened, and you have the time and patience to help him adjust to your new home, we would love to introduce you to him.   Please contact Cathie Lambert at wmlcml6@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more about Ghost, or if you would like to meet him at our farm.

Adoptable: Hanks Ginger (”Nellie”)

September 24th, 2008
  • Hi, there!  My name is Nellie, and I am here to help you get to know me.
  • Nelly-2-copy.jpg picture by coachgrieber
  • I spent most of my career in Orlando.
  • “Nellie is a bit of an attention hog… pretty loud in her crate, but, once she gets fed, she quiets right down… She is Lexus and Rogue’s littermate (see their profiles on this site) … and she’s a lot like Rogue.  Not as high energy .. and not quite as confident as Rogue … I’d say just a smidge below Rogue in that regard.”
  • He forgot to mention that she’s beautiful.  Take a look!

Adoptable: Ikes Bonnie

September 24th, 2008
  • Update 11/16/08 - Bonnie is in Greyhound as Pets of NE Florida adoption now.  Hopefully she will find her forever home soon.
  • Hello!  My name is Bonnie.  I am ready to find a retirement home.  Apparently this is THE place to be if you want to find adoptables, so here I am!  I’m on the small side, and I’m well behaved.  Please note that I’m a little reserved at first, not like that feisty Rogue you might have read about here, but I warm up if given a chance.
  • Update 10/30/08:  Bonnie really warming up to me.  The other night during turnout, she pointed her little nose toward me and closed her eyes like she was going to kiss me.  I gave her tons of smooches and she just loved it.

  • Ringo and his littermates are known as “The Beatle Boys”:  John, Paul, George and Ringo.  Ringo’s brothers John and George are just about ready for adoption, and Paul is still racing in our kennel.  Check out his red brindle handsomeness…
