Scentsy Chat – Blogging about my new adventure!

Hello, friends!   I am writing to tell you about my new adventure … in sales!   On June 16, 2011, I signed up to become an Independent Scentsy Consultant.  What is that you ask?   It means I sell really awesome wickless, flame free “candle” products for Scentsy.   It means I get to share with you how to fill your home with your favorite scents without flame, without having to cross your fingers you can actually smell the fragrance, and without spending a lot of money.  The cost of a warmer unit and Scentsy bars is far less than buying wicked candles over and over – and it’s safer!   It also means I can help you throw a pary either online or in your home,  and you can earn hostess credits for free and half-priced Scentsy products.  Scentsy sells itself.   My job (and yours as a hostess) is just to introduce people to the products.  Once you smell it for yourself, you will want it in your home, too.  Not only are the 80+ different scents amazing, but the warmer units are beautiful and there is a style to suit every decor.

I fell in love with Scentsy on Christmas 2010.  My Mom gave me a warmer and several fragrance bars as a gift.  Within moments of plugging in the warmer, I could smell “Satin Sheets”, which remains my favorite Scentsy fragrance.   From that first use of the product, I started thinking “I have to tell all my friends about this!”  It would be six months before I took the big step to sign up with Scentsy, but I’m so glad I did.  I’ve already made new friends within the Scentsy family, and now my long time friends are enjoying the products I personally love.  If Oprah tried Scentsy, I feel sure it would become on of her Favorite Things.  :-)

I promise I won’t be a salesgirl 24/7, but I will fill you in on Scentsy news every now and then through this Blog, or via email or Facebook.   Please check out my personal Scentsy webpage:  http://cathielambert.scentsy.us/   Remember to visit the “Combine and Save” section to get multi-pak prices that will save you money.  If you have any questions about how to purchase for the best price, or want advice on products or fragrances, I’m here to help.

For those of you who have already supported me in this adventure by having a house party, buying online, or just giving me hugs and well wishes – Thank you!!!  I’m so grateful for my friends.   :-)   Wish me luck!  ~Cathie~

Adoptable – July 7, 2011 – Giselle Brady aka Giselle

Giselle turned 3 yrs old in May 2011.  She sustained a career ending hock injury, and is now ready for a home of her own.  She is still very fast, and very energetic.  She gets along well with other greyhounds.  Her favorite game is to lay on her back in the turnout pen and get the other girls excited.  Then she jumps up and spins really fast and takes off running to drive them crazy.  Her second favorite game is to run up and down the fence between the girls and boys’ pen.  The boys love to run with her.   In addition to being fun, Giselle is also very pretty.

Happy Birthday to the Mudd Puppies!

Mama Snickers (FTH Moon Dancer). These girls are awesome, each in their own way. Tank looks most like Snickers, and Mattie and Deuce look the most like Mudd. They are full of heart, and they immediately stole ours.

As many of you remember, Deuce was dead when she came out, grey body and blue in the face. Bill and I worked on her for some time thumping on her heart, getting fluid out of her nose and throat, and breathing into her mouth. What a gift when she responded! Even so, we feared she would have brain damage since we had no idea how long she was without air in the birth canal. She won a lot of hearts with her determination to survive, and within a few weeks, we knew she could see, hear, react, etc. just fine.

Georgia has always been the intense one. Our independent tomboy who is always moving … I just knew in my heart she would be a champ on the track, and when she was the first to run Grade A I was not surprised at all. She has many fans, but the coolest one has to be George of New England. That relationship has been so much fun.

Mattie-kins. Named after a brand of wine (Mattie’s Perch) because of the way she wrapped her paws around Snickers leg at nap time. She is also sassy, and has been talking back to us since she was probably 2 weeks old. Mattie is a go getter like Georgia, and I expect good things from her now that she has recovered from her near death scare a couple of months ago. I am so thankful that God wasn’t ready for another of our babies! Mattie is more affectionate than Georgia, but just as athletic. She also has great stand up earsies.

Tank – Started out as the biggest girl, and her name doesn’t really make sense anymore but she knows it, so it stays. We tried Lainey, but she wouldn’t answer to that. Tank is the girl who demands at every turnout to have her belly rubbed, and won’t leave you alone until you do it. She cannot wait until I finish sweeping the kennel, either. I have to stop when I get to her crate and spend a couple of minutes doing the belly rubs so she’ll be quiet. She likes to bounce around and play with the other girls, and I think just loves snuggles and fun more than anything. She has a hurt ankle right now, but hopefully will be racing again in a few months.

My little nugget Gypsy. The first one to try to steal my credit card with eyes barely open. I think someone told her about bling and treats and she was determined to start early! She was named Gypsy because she was the first to walk, and man did she motor around the kitchen with a purpose. ;-) Gypsy also craves attention and lovies. She is addicted to standing on her hind legs and draping her paws on my arm to get kisses and be as close to me as possible. She’s so gentle about it, that I don’t even bother making her stop. (Tank on the other hand is a nose bopper, so she gets popped on the head when she jumps on me.)

The Mudd Puppies even have their own fan club on Facebook. How cool is that?!

Happy 2nd Birthday, little brindle doll babies. We love you very much!
