What is Follow That Hound?
Follow that Hound! is a program started in September 2004 through which we preadopt our greyhounds to families all over the United States and Canada.  Preadoption allows families the unique opportunity to see a greyhound's life journey through the pictures and stories on this website, as well as our posts on community message boards such as Greytalk.com and our Blog. From birth to puppyhood, training and racing, the preadopters will know all about their greyhound long before it retires from racing. To date, we have preadopted and successfully homed over 40 greyhounds.  Check out the FTH Preadoption Charts!

"Words of Wisdom" ...by George
Meet George of Noo England aka Driven by Chile.  George has a unique sense of humor that is sure to make you smile.  You won't want to miss his blog entries as he gives advice to the Mudd puppies, especially his namesake "Georgia".  
 
  

The idea for Player's Fund came about after our experience with FTH PlayoftheDay, who sustained a serious racing injury on October 10, 2007.  He fell in his race and was trampled by some of the other racers.  Player required extensive medical treatment, including several surgeries to repair 2 breaks in his radius and one to the ulna.  He had an external fixator to hold the bones in place, and at some point developed a MRSA infection.  All of this required 2-3 visits a week to the orthopedic specialist, and round the clock supervision.  We were fortunate to be able to pay the bills for Player, but we realized just how quickly funds can be depleted.
 
Because FTH has become such a shared journey for all of our preadopted pups and their owners, several people told me that if I would get a DONATE button on this site, they would be happy to click on it now and then to support us and our racers and puppies.  I have finally figured out how to do it, and hope that you will find it easy to use whenever you feel an urge to donate. 
 
Disclaimer:  It is important to note that we are not a charitable organization, so your donations are not tax deductible.  They will, however, help us to maintain our standards of care for every dog we are responsible for.
